Celebrate the power of the spoken word as local high school students compete in the 2026–27 Santa Barbara County Poetry Out Loud Championship. All members of the community are welcome to cheer on the students and enjoy an evening of poetry recitation.
Poetry Out Loud is a free national program that helps high school students master public speaking, build self-confidence and connect with their literary heritage while competing for recognition and scholarship opportunities.
