IllumaNature: California Coastin’ transforms the Zoo after dark into an immersive, glowing journey through California’s iconic landscapes. Wander among thousands of lights, explore interactive installations and encounter illuminated wildlife inspired by the animals that make our state so special.
During Low Sensory Night, select lighting effects will be adjusted, flashing lights reduced or removed where possible, and music and sound levels lowered. Guests are welcome to explore at their own pace and use the Zoo’s available accessibility resources.
Low Sensory Night is open to everyone and may be especially helpful for autistic and neurodivergent guests, those with sensory sensitivities, and families seeking a calmer IllumaNature experience.
