Supes Head Back to Santa Maria

After construction at the Joseph Centeno Betteravia Government Administration Building in Santa Maria forced the County Board of Supervisors to hold all of their meetings in Santa Barbara, the supervisors will go back to splitting their meetings between the two cities.

Williams Education Bill Approved By State Assembly

Despite opposition from the chancellor’s office and most faculty groups including the Santa Barbara City College Academic Senate, Assemblymember Das Williams’s measure to allow community colleges to offer nonsubsidized extension courses during winter and summer sessions, AB 955, gained approval from the State Assembly on 5/20.
