UCSB Athlete Wins Santa Barbara Long Course Triathlon

The University of California, Santa Barbara Triathlon Team, one of the nation’s top collegiate triathlon teams, announced today that Jonathan Waltman won the men’s long course triathlon competition at the Santa Barbara Triathlon on Saturday, August 27.

Santa Barbara County Recognizes National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month

In recognition of September as National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors will issue a proclamation on September 6 at 1:30 p.m. acknowledging the problem of childhood obesity in Santa Barbara County and the efforts of the Public Health Department and other organizations to combat obesity among local children.
