Congress has the power to spend money in order to serve the “general welfare” of its citizens. Nowhere does the constitution state Congress can require Americans to spend their own money on their own welfare, such as health insurance.
It’s a sign of our times when the playground chin-up bars at our local junior high school are replaced by bleachers.
