2025 Santa Barbara Laugh Festival – Alano Club

Santa Barbara’s favorite comedy tradition to kick off the holiday season is back—bigger, brighter, and bursting with heartfelt laughs.

The 2025 Santa Barbara Laugh Festival continues our mission of empowering the Guardians of our Community, the local non-profits that make this city shine. Each show is an unforgettable night of stand-up comedy, creating direct support for non-profits.

With a 75-year history of helping people transform their lives. The Santa Barbara Comedy Club is honored to bring some peace, love, and laughs to the Newhouse Santa Barbara Community. This year’s comedy show delivers three headliners in one night: Jeanne Whitney, Kat Bird, and Josh Spear. You can expect to laugh like you’ve never laughed before. See you there.

More on Newhouse: On March 31, 1949, a small group of Santa Barbara citizens met with Marty Mann, founder of the National Council on Alcoholism, to discuss the problem of alcoholism in the Santa Barbara community. They incorporated in October of that year, calling themselves the Santa Barbara Committee on Alcoholism.

New House became independent of the Committee on Alcoholism in 1974, and in 197,8 opened New House II. In February of 1991, New House III was purchased at 2434 Bath Street, increasing the New House capacity to 100 men. The original New House facility was retired and replaced by a Grad House on Castillo Street in 2001.
