The theme for this year’s call to artists is “Wing It”, which explores the concept of flight.

It encourages submissions related to anything that has wings or takes flight, from birds to abstract representations.

The theme invites a broad range of interpretations, both literal and fantastical, using various media, though pedestal work is excluded.

JUROR of AWARDS:

Judy Neunuebel

A graduate from Westmont College, the accomplished artist and educator served on the Westmont College Art Council for 25 years.

Working primarily in watercolor, collage and assemblage, the artist worked as a typesetter and operated her own graphic design business for several years in Santa Barbara. Her appreciation of the printed word strongly influences her work today.

The artist has exhibited with the SB Art Association, Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art and in Santa Fe New Mexico.

ENTRY DEADLINE: November 17th.

NOTIFICATION BY: November 18th.

BEST OF SHOW: 3-Month Membership at the S B Tennis Club.

EXHIBIT DATES: December 5th – December 30th.

RECEPTION & AWARDS: December 12th, 4:30 – 6:00pm.

IN-GATHERING of accepted work: December 3rd. 8am-9:00am

TAKE DOWN: December 31st, 8:00 am – 9:00am.

GUIDELINES FOR CONTEST:

•Gallery split: 60/40 – 60% to artist, 40% to gallery.

•All artwork must hang on the wall. No pedestal works will be accepted.

•Artwork may not exceed 28”x 28”x 10” deep, including framing.

•Image submissions – 72 DPI Jpeg. Please title JPEGs: your name, title, framed size and retail price.

•JPG’s emailed to, susantibbles@yahoo.com with Wings in the subject bar.

The PayPal invoice will follow your submissions.

•Entry Fee: $35 for first image, additional images may be submitted at $5 each, via Paypal.

It is not necessary to have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts credit cards.

GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED WORKS:

Art must be properly wired with picture wire, eye screws or D-rings. Saw-tooth brackets will NOT be accepted. Works that are not properly wired will be rejected at the in gathering.

All works shall be for sale. Standard Gallery splits: 60% artist 40% gallery.

Only quality frames will be accepted.

Giclee’s on canvas will not be accepted.
