Address (map)

Venue (website)

Trinity Episcopal Church

An evening service intended for rest and contemplation.

Compline is led by the Rev. Sarah Thomas. It begins with synthesized ambient music by DJ artist, Andrew Elia, then a transition with loose-leaf brewed herbal tea, and concludes with the opportunity to hear a person share a personal story.

This month’s storyteller is Dr. Michelle Petty. Dr. Petty is a Black writing professor, poet, and fledgling novelist. Join her as she shares about a research trip to West Africa that turned into a deeply spiritual experience marked by holding the best and worst of humanity, and left her grateful she had a chance to pass through what was once the Point of No Return.

Incense and candlelight are used during the service. Trinity is an LGBTQ+ welcoming and affirming congregation.  www.trinitysb.org/compline
