Frank Hoppe enjoys playing fiddle for dances, kitchen junkets, farmer’s markets, and wineries.
Laura Osborne is a flute professor at UCLA. Laura holds degrees in Flute Performance from Eastman School of Music
The caller is Chris Page, a special guest, who writes GREAT DANCES, which are enjoyed nationwide. Get ready for some fun Contra dances Sunday night.
Contra dancing is traditional American folk dancing, derived from English and French country dancing. Couples stand in long lines. The caller “walks through” a pattern of figures before each dance begins, and prompts the moves as long as the dancers need it. Each couple dances the sequence with another couple, then progresses along the line to repeat it with new couples.

Beginners are welcome, cherished even. We suggest newcomers dance with experienced dancers for the first few dances. It helps make if fun and easy for everyone!
Dress for comfort. We recommend low or flat shoes that don’t stick.
