Ganna Walska Lotusland will host its annual Exceptional Plants Auction and ultimate plant party on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1:00–4:00 p.m., welcoming the region’s top plant collectors, landscape designers, and garden enthusiasts for a enjoyable afternoon in the Garden.

This spirited benefit event offers over 200 rare and exotic plants in both silent and live auctions. Guests will encounter an extraordinary range of specimens—from sculptural succulents and dramatic bromeliads to elegant palms, ancient cycads, and tropical oddities. Many plants are propagated and nurtured at Lotusland, with others sourced from leading nurseries, botanical institutions, and private collections including The Huntington Botanical Gardens, Los Angeles County Arboretum, UCSB Biology Greenhouses, among others.

Guests enjoy signature cocktails, wine, and casual fare while mingling in Lotusland’s spectacular gardens. A special highlight this year is a book signing for At Home in Paradise (Rizzoli, 2025) by Douglas Woods, featuring photographs by Mark Walla, architectural contributions by Marc Appleton, and essays by M. Brian Tichenor. By popular demand, the Book Nook returns, offering gently used titles on garden design, horticulture, and plant collecting.

Space is limited. Advance reservations are required. Secure tickets today for the ultimate plant party and the opportunity to take home botanical treasures while supporting Lotusland’s mission of plant conservation, sustainable horticulture, and education. Tickets: $125 (Members) | $175 (Non-Members) | $300 (Patrons)

Lotusland is a nonprofit public garden recognized internationally for its outstanding plant collections, sustainable horticulture practices, and rich cultural history. The Exceptional Plants Auction is one of Lotusland’s signature events, raising critical funds for the Garden’s care, preservation, and annual operations.
