With space at a premium, it’s important to make the most of the garden plot you’ve got.

Christy Wilhelmi from “Gardenerd” will share her tried and true methods for growing vegetables and herbs in small spaces to squeeze the most out of your patch of earth.

Learn about biointensive methods, planning strategies, and planting techniques, all to get more bang for our buck.

Christy specializes in small-space, organic vegetable garden design and empowers people to grow their own to be more self-reliant and to reduce pollution and waste.

She grows more than half of her family’s produce in her southern California garden of less than 300 square feet.

Her website is gardenerd.com, and she is the author of High Yield, Small Space Organic Gardening and Grow Your Own Mini-Fruit Garden.

This is the FREE monthly meeting of the non-profit Santa Barbara County Horticultural Society.

A plant raffle takes place after the meeting.

Please consider joining the Society for only $30/year.

Free garden tours are a benefit of membership.
