Explore ways to achieve a healthy, beautiful habitat using native plants–For many people, “habitat gardening” may conjure images of wild, unkempt landscapes. However, by explaining key principles of ecology, our speaker Scot Pipkin will demonstrate how we can create gardens that are both attractive and provide effective habitat for birds, bees, butterflies, lizards, and other creatures as well.

Q & A and the monthly “Plant Forum” follows Scot’s lecture. Scot is Director of Education at the Santa Barbar Botanic Garden, where he oversees the garden’s diverse lineup of environmental education programs. (Photo: California Sister butterfly by Scot Pipkin)
