We are delighted to be showing Kayla Sweet-Newhouse’s new ceramic work at 506 Gallery and hope you will join us at her opening reception! Light snacks and refreshments will be served.

Kayla Sweet-Newhouse’s latest work fuses raw abstraction and grounded reality. A self-taught ceramicist who has trained across the world, she ditches traditional rules for a gut-level approach to form. Through a rhythmic language of lines and defiant coils, Kayla builds sculptures that feel less like “objects” and more like living things caught in mid-evolution. It’s a tactile experiment where the wildness of nature meets human structure. Kayla balances her studio practice with the chaos of being a mother of two young boys.
