Join Dr David White to explore the relationship between plants and soils. In this Lesson from Lotusland free online presentation we’ll learn about the complex array of microorganisms that inhabit healthy soils and how to connect and support their presence in the landscapes that you tend. With insights into composting techniques, you’ll receive guidance on the core biological practices that Lotusland uses to sustain its thriving and resilient ecosystems.
Dr. David White Born and raised in Scotland, David studied Biological Sciences at Edinburgh University and graduated with a Ph.D. in Cell Biology. After conducting research at Cornell Medical school and the University of Idaho, he moved to Ojai to work in nature based education and organic land management. He currently consults on soil health and regenerative techniques. David co-founded the Center for Regenerative Agriculture in 2002 and worked as its Executive Director for twenty years. Since 2010, David has directed the Once upon a Watershed education program which currently serves 23 public schools in Ventura County.
