Ready for Wildfire | Smart Strategies for Fire-Safe Living
Join a panel of countywide experts for an important discussion on fire resilience and how to prepare your home, landscape, and neighborhood to better withstand future wildfires. The panel will be facilitated by Santa Barbara Botanic Garden with the generous support of Allen Construction. Speakers include the Garden’s Executive Director Steve Windhager, Ph.D., Santa Barbara County Supervisor Laura Capps, Santa Barbara County Fire Captain Chris Olmstead, Allen Construction, the Santa Barbara County Firesafe Council, and others.

What fire crews consider when responding to a burning neighborhood or home
Practical steps to harden your home and make it more resistant to flames and embers

What community resources are available to renters, homeowners, and neighborhood groups to become more firewise
