(Santa Barbara, CA, October 15, 2025) YouthWell, a Santa Barbara County nonprofit dedicated to early intervention and mental health education for youth and their families, announces its inaugural “Stronger Together for Neurodiverse Youth” Conference on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
This conference is designed to uplift, support, and equip those who care for neurodiverse youth – including parents, educators, and providers. Through storytelling, expert insight, and collaborative dialogue, the event will foster a deeper understanding, increased advocacy, and stronger connections across the community.
“Our goal is to bring the community together to better understand and support neurodiverse young people and their parents – both at school and in the community,” said Rachael Steidl, Executive Director of YouthWell. “This conference will offer practical tools, fresh perspectives, and a renewed sense of connection for everyone who plays a role in their growth and wellbeing.”
Conference Highlights
- Speakers and Panel discussions featuring youth, parents, educators, and clinical experts
- Interactive sessions with practical takeaways
- Resource booths from local organizations
- Catered lunch and networking opportunities
Neurodiversity includes conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, Tourette Syndrome, and Sensory Processing Disorder – each representing unique ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world.
More than just a professional development event, Stronger Together for Neurodiverse Youth is a movement toward inclusion, empathy, and collaboration. The conference will unite parents, caregivers, educators, and providers across Santa Barbara County to explore affirming practices, strengthen bridges between home, school, and community, and build a shared toolbox of resources and strategies to better support neurodiverse youth.
