American Songbook Today presents “S’Wonderful – A Gershwin Concert” honoring the famous songwriter brothers George (music) and Ira (lyrics) at NAMBA in Ventura, 2PM, Matinee
Together the Gershwins wrote hundreds of famous songs including Embraceable You, Swanee, Someone to Watch Over Me, S’Wonderful, Our Love Is Here to Stay, Love Walked In, They Can’t Take That Away from Me, Summertime, A Foggy Day, I Got Rhythm, Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off, Somebody Loves Me, But Not for Me, How Long Has This Been Going On?, I’ve Got a Crush on You, and the opera “Porgy and Bess.” George also wrote “Rhapsody in Blue,” “An American in Paris,” “Concerto in F,” etc.
Performing in our concert will be some of Southern California’s favorite singers Ryan Beaghler, Suzy Cadham, Dawn Cosgrove, Anna Demaria, Tim Frangos, Marcus Kettles, Marisa Miculian, and Scott White.
Michael Estwanik will emcee and David Watkins will be Music Director.
