A Tea Tasting & Story Circle is a relaxed, embodied mindfulness practice where we taste and learn about tea, listen to the body, and share stories in community without pressure or performance. A guided mindfulness gathering for up to 7 guests.
Each month, participants taste and compare two carefully chosen premium teas from East Asia, appreciating them through scent, color, texture, temperature, and taste. The experience invites attention to how each tea moves through the body, how breath and mood respond, and what sensations, memories, or images naturally arise. Learning unfolds through direct experience, allowing participants to deepen their relationship with tea while cultivating presence and gratitude for the body and mind.
Story and community are gently woven into the circle. A brief story or context about each tea is shared, and participants are welcome to share personal reflections if they wish, while silence and listening remain integral parts of the practice. Through tasting, reflection, and shared experience, the circle becomes a space for connection, curiosity, and appreciation. Tea serves as a quiet guide, awakening the senses, honoring lived experience, and bringing people together in a grounded and graceful way.
February Tea Focus
Theme: Softening — Two Expressions of White Tea
-
Wild Ya Bao White Tea (Yunnan) — grounding, settling, and supportive
-
Silver Needle White Tea (Bai Hao Yin Zhen) — light, delicate, and clarifying
These two white teas offer different pathways into softening, tasted side by side through the body and senses. Some sessions may include gentle botanical pairings (such as jasmine flower or lemongrass) to explore how aroma and sensation shift.
