Roller Derby 101 with the Brawlin’ Betties

Teens: join SB’s local roller derby team, the Brawlin’ Betties, for an afternoon of fun and learning about this amazing sport! Meet team players, learn the rules, and watch players demonstrate the game. The Derby Justice League will introduce derby rules and participants will have the opportunity to sign up as non-skating officials for the next scrimmage to test their knowledge and get further exposure to our all-gender and inclusive sports community. For teens in grades 7-12, ages 12-18; registration encouraged. Snacks provided!

About the team: Brawlin’ Betties Roller Derby is dedicated to fostering a supportive community and environment through flat track roller derby. We are committed to advancing our sport through encouraging self-confidence while promoting camaraderie. We celebrate and welcome all who choose to participate in our league, in any capacity. We strive to provide a positive and safe environment for skaters, non-skating officials, and volunteers of all gender identities and backgrounds to challenge themselves, tend to their wellness, and experience overall growth.
