The Motet embarks on an electrifying new chapter as they bring their unstoppable funk and soul to the SOhO stage alongside special guest Michael Wilbur.
For more than 25 years, the Colorado-bred ensemble has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic live acts in the country, blending funk, soul, disco, and jam-driven improvisation into a high-octane dance-floor experience.
With nine albums, over a thousand shows, and seven headlining performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre under their belt, The Motet continues to evolve while staying rooted in the deep-pocket grooves that first defined their sound.
Their latest full-length album, Love Time, marks the band’s first release featuring powerhouse vocalist Sarah Clarke, whose arrival injects a fresh spark into the group’s fiery instrumental chemistry.
Tracks like “Love Time,” “Thinkin Too Much,” and “Something Better” showcase a vibrant fusion of sleek disco rhythms, soulful hooks, and modern funk textures—balancing carefree dance energy with thoughtful reflections on anxiety, parenthood, and human connection.
The result is a bold step forward that feels both celebratory and deeply human, reaffirming the band’s mission to create music that moves bodies and lifts spirits.
