FREE virtual workshops for PARENTS, PROVIDERS, and EDUCATORS focused on sharing neurodiversity-affirming tools, resources, and practices that can be utilized at home and in classrooms.

We hope to increase the literacy, compassion, and support available to anyone engaging with neurodiverse youth (ages 5-25).

Neurodiversity 101: Building Neuro-Affirming Systems in Schools and Communities- Neurodivergent and neurodiverse youth experience the world in beautifully complex ways and too often encounter systems that were not designed with them in mind.

This Youth Linkages Network meeting invites educators, providers, and youth-serving professionals across Santa Barbara County to explore what it truly means to build neuro-affirming spaces in schools and community settings.

Through a dynamic panel conversation, participants will develop a shared countywide language around Neurodiversity 101, examine the difference between disability-based and affirmation-based models of support, clarify terms such as neurodiverse and neurodivergent, unpack the concept of masking, and deepen cultural sensitivity around stigma, access, and resources across diverse communities.

Together, we will move beyond awareness toward intentional affirmation, strengthening our collective ability to ensure neurodivergent youth feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
