Nicole Virgil, practitioner of Christian Science healing and international speaker, will present her talk, “What really matters,” on Saturday, November 8, 10:00 am Pacific Time, at the Louise Lowry Davis Center, 111 W. Victoria Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.

The talk is free, open to the community, and hosted by First Church of Christ, Scientist in Santa Barbara.

The talk will focus on universal healing precepts found in the Holy Bible, especially in Christ Jesus’ life and teachings, showing how they are available for anyone to understand and experience through the lens of Christian Science.

“You have to be able to sort out what matters from what doesn’t matter.” Virgil adds, “If you’ve heard the expression, ‘garbage in, garbage out,’ you know we don’t want to start with garbage. Start at the beginning. Start with God. Going in order wakes us up from a distorted view of reality.”

Sharing examples of healing from her own life and professional practice of Christian Science, Virgil will explain why Christian Science is both Christian and scientific, meaning that people can prove its effectiveness for themselves, as fully described in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by the founder of the Christian Science movement, Mary Baker Eddy.

Nicole Virgil has been a Christian Science practitioner for many years, helping people on a daily basis through this scientific approach to prayer.

She travels from her home base in Elmhurst, Illinois, to speak to audiences around the world as a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
