Ruth Pugh Carter Kosh

Ruth Pugh Carter Kosh was born on September 18, 1925 and died on October 30, 2025, at the age of 100!. She is survived by her son, Richard Carter, Jr, her daughter-in-law Adele McHugh Carter, her daughter Kimberly Carter Gamble, stepdaughters Jerry Wilkes and Sue Levine, along with grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family throughout California.

Ruth came to Los Angeles from Sanger, California with her sister and mother in 1943 and stayed for the rest of her life. She had two long successful marriages, to Richard Carter, Sr from 1948 to 1978, when he died and later, to Howard Kosh until he died in 2013.

After working alongside her husband Richard in his many Hollywood endeavors, Ruth was also a successful realtor in LA, a career she started when she was first widowed at age 52.

Ruth will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, big laugh and lively spirit, which prevailed for over 100 years.
