Evelyn Boyle
1949-2025
Evelyn Boyle (Evey) passed peacefully in her sleep on Nov 20, 2025. She was born in 1949 and raised in Weymouth, Mass., and lived in Goleta and Santa Barbara from 1976 until just last year.
A bookkeeper by profession, she worked for several local companies, eventually starting her own—Computer Accounting, which she ran until she retired in the 2010’s. She liked helping non-profits because she said it was her way to give back. She would joke about being a ‘bean counter,’ saying, “other people make the beans and I just count them.”
Living “the good life” in Goleta for most of the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s, she enjoyed days at Sands beach, jogging, golfing (most of all) and any other activities she could give a try. She played the guitar beautifully, and She remained a diehard Boston fan even after moving, and rooted for the Pats, Sox, Bruins and Celtics. She also was a pretty darned good fantasy football player.
Her love of travel took her all over the US, Ireland, Italy, cruising (in the Caribbean, Alaska and Mexico) and on many, many trips to Disneyland with her Grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Most anyone that met her, including her clients, became her friends. Her family, friends, and neighbors considered her their favorite ‘hippie’ and She was one of those people that everyone loved as soon as they met her.
Her Spirit was one-of-a-kind. Her positivity, good humor, lovely smile, and her deep-rooted kindness are how we who loved her will always remember her.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ed Boyle and their son, Greg. She is survived by her son, Sean and his Wife Heidi Boyle; sister Carol Mulkern; and her brother Jack and his Wife Helen Webber. She leaves having made many memories with all of her grandchildren.
Last but not least she leaves behind her beloved budgies Clyde (aka Dad) and Bluebell.
She will be truly missed. Honoring Evey’s wishes, her family will be privately scattering her ashes.
