Daniel Edward White
Daniel “Danny” Edward White, a longtime resident of Goleta, California, passed away at the age of 63 from systemic complications in Santa Barbara, California.
Danny was born on October 28, 1962, in Hollywood, California, to John D. White and Jeanne A. White. In 1968, the family moved to Goleta, where Danny spent the majority of his life. He attended several elementary schools in Goleta, middle school at Goleta Valley Junior High School, and high school at both Bishop High School and Dos Pueblos High School.
After high school, Danny proudly joined the United States Army and completed his service with an honorable discharge. Following his military service, he worked in construction throughout his adult life—a career well suited to his love of working outdoors and staying active.
Danny was a true local who could most often be found at “Haskulls “Beach or Goleta Beach, spending time with the close friends he cherished and considered family. He had a deep love for animals of all kinds, and his most recent companion was a bearded dragon named Rocky. Even in his final days, Danny’s concern was making sure Rocky would be well cared for. Relaxing with friends, following NASCAR, surfing, dirt bike riding, and water skiing were among Danny’s favorite pastimes. In his youth, he was highly athletic and always in motion. He was also a gifted artist who loved putting pencil to paper.
Danny will be remembered for his high energy, great sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to help friends and family whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his father, John D. White, and his wife, Amy White. Danny is survived by his mother, Jeanne White; his sisters, Theresa “Teri” Bull (Guy Bull) and Katrina “Trina” White-Wilson (Kent Wilson); and his nephews, Christopher Bull, Nicholas Bull (Kathryn), and Garrett Bull.
An evening of remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Goleta (location to be announced).
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, including a paddle-out at “Haskulls” Beach followed by a celebration at Timbers Roadhouse in Goleta. Additional details will be shared as they become available.
