Esther M. Woodruff

Esther Mae Woodruff, 101, a Tucson, AZ resident, and long-time resident of Santa Barbara, CA, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 26, 2025. She is survived by her 3 children, Michael J. Woodruff of Tucson, AZ, Kathleen M. Roemer of Salem, OR, and Patrick D. Woodruff of Yucaipa, CA, 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 8 nieces and 3 nephews.

Born April 20, 1924, in Pasadena, CA, to Noble Ernest Gresham and Nancy Elizabeth Spruce, she was the 13th of 14 children. Graduating from Alhambra HS in 1941 and Cal State University Los Angeles in 1959, she taught at Harding and McKinley elementary schools in Santa Barbara. She attended Santa Barbara Community Church, Grace Bible Church in Arroyo Grande and Holy Redeemer Anglican Church in Tucson. She will be laid to rest beside her husband of 60 years, Marvin J. Woodruff, at National Memorial Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
