Description: Come see the theatrical work of Nuestra Voz, Isla Vista: The Video Game! Friday’s performance, under the leadership of graduate student and artistic director Beth Wynstra, promises to be a funny, touching, and important piece of theater written and performed entirely by students in the program.
The piece focuses the recent closure of the Isla Vista Teen Center due to structural damage. This closure was a terrible blow to the community and to the hundreds of teens and families that depend on the Center’s services. In the performance on Friday, Isla Vista teens explore and express the importance of the Teen Center as well as what an ideal Teen Center would look like.
