She was born in Malta, Montana on July 8, 1921 and grew up in Spokane WA. Dorothy was the fourth of five children and was part of a resourceful depression era family. Don returned in 1945 and their son Gordon was born in 1947.

Dorothy is survived by her son Gordon Brewer, daughter-in-law Judy Williams and grandson Jordan Brewer of Santa Barbara, CA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service, and her remains will be scattered at sea by the family.
