The Rondo Brothers’ Seven Minutes to Midnight

The instinctual need to categorize music into genres is repeatedly under attack in the 21st century, and no one is fighting this battle better than San Francisco’s Rondo Brothers, who work with everyone from The Killers and New York Dolls to Jurassic 5 and Gorillaz. This 17-song album consists of what the duo of Jim Greer and Brandon Arnovick call “post-apocalyptic love songs,” which range from melodic hip-hop to ambient party pop.
