On 6/12, the Santa Barbara City Council approved a contract renewal between the public works department and the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District for $2,403,000 in funding for the 2007-08 fiscal year. The agreement includes a 3.2 percent cost of living adjustment to last year’s approved funding. City Transportation Manager Browning Allen noted that $1.5 million of the money will come from Measure D funds.
