After much reworking by the city’s Ordinance Committee, the Candidate Video Program was approved by the Santa Barbara City Council at its 6/12 meeting. The program allows those running for mayor and city council to record candidate statements free of charge. The spots will be broadcast on Santa Barbara Channels at least four times per week and on City Channel 18 at least three times per week in the month prior to city elections.
