Judge’s Ruling May Save St. Francis

A judge ruled in favor of community activists on 6/12, granting St. Francis Friends and Neighbors permission to challenge the city’s approval of Cottage Hospital’s housing project, which includes plans to demolish the former St. Francis Hospital in order to build affordable condominiums. The judge overruled Cottage Hospital and the city by granting Friends and Neighbors a technicality exception, thus allowing the group to proceed with its challenge.
