Plane Crash Causes Delays at SB Airport

A private plane taking off from Santa Barbara Airport for Tampa, Florida, skidded about 400 feet off the runway on 6/10 after failing to gain enough speed to lift off. The plane’s two crew members and 13 passengers were uninjured in the incident, which officials say was less disastrous than it could have been, thanks to the recent rerouting of Tecolotito Creek. Flights into Santa Barbara were delayed or rerouted until the plane was removed several hours later.
