Homeless Woman’s Death Not Caused by Prior Attack

Thu Aug 09, 2007 | 06:00am

Results of an autopsy performed on the body of Sandra McFarlane, 45, have ruled out the possibility that she died as a result of a physical attack she suffered a week prior to her death. McFarlane, a known transient, was found dead near the Milpas Street roundabout on the morning of 8/1. She was reportedly released from Cottage Hospital on 7/26 after being assaulted by a subject who was later arrested by Santa Barbara police.
