Public defender Karen Atkins asked that the arraignment for Ricardo Juarez-the 14-year-old charged as an adult in the stabbing death of 15-year-old Luis Linares-be delayed until she reviews the voluminous transcripts from the preliminary hearing, which concluded before Judge Brian Hill last month. Atkins said she may want to file motions before the arraignment. At the latest court appearance on 9/13, she suggested that another teen present on 3/14 killed Linares.
