Sea Bass Released at Stearns Wharf

For the first time since 2005, white sea bass were released into the Pacific Ocean off Stearns Wharf. The 9/22 release was part of an effort to restore the species’ population, which has dropped to a tenth of typical levels. The 10,000 fish were raised at San Diego’s Hubbs-Sea World Research Institute.
