Still unable to reach an agreement with the County of Santa Barbara, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 620-which represents more than 1,200 county employees-will not strike, but will wait for an amicable resolution. The union originally wanted a one-year contract, but agreed to a three-year contract. County officials declined to comment, but many employees stated that they are undervalued by the county.
