The City Council discussed improvements to pedestrian access between Stearns Wharf and the Harbor, approving a $310,380 design contract. Los Ba±os pool, deemed by some to be in need of renovation or replacement, proved to be an obstacle, but councilmembers pushed to begin the project anyway. Design plans will be reviewed extensively before the planned start of construction in 2008, and the project should be completed sometime in 2009.
