Downtown Housing Receives Resistance from Neighbors

The Mental Health Association (MHA) held a concrete-pouring party on 11/2 at the site of a four-story affordable housing complex designed for downtown workers and the mentally ill, in the 600 block of Garden Street. MHA took steps to compensate neighbors for the inconvenience of construction, but one nearby resident-Peter Lance-author of books detailing FBI corruption and Al Qaeda-said he is unsatisfied with MHA’s mitigation efforts.
