Hungry Santa Barbarans might want to wait for the clock to hit 9:45 p.m. for Ahi Sushi’s izakaya-style late-night happy hour (hour and 15 minutes, actually-it runs ’til 11 p.m.). It’s a whole special menu of everything from sashimi to cleverly cooked dishes that might be confused for tapas-turning-Japanese. Given that Ahi serves up some of the town’s best sushi, this opportunity to munch a bit off the usual path should be welcomed with an open sake cup.
