A Thanksgiving turkey being smoked overnight at 6580 Camino Venturoso in Goleta was the cause of a fire on 11/22. Santa Barbara County Fire responded with three engine companies and one ladder truck to contain the fire. Their residence was spared in the fire and no one was hurt in the fire. Investigators determined the fire was caused by drippings and ash igniting the home’s wooden deck.
