Combat photographer Ashley Gilbertson, 29, came to lecture at UCSB on 11/27. Working at first as a freelance photographer and later for publications like TIME, Newsweek, and the New York Times, Gilbertson earned the prestigious Robert Capa Gold Medal Award in 2004. In the lecture, he shared images of the Iraq War from his recently released book Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
