Award-Winning Poet B.H. Fairchild to Read at SBCC

B.H. Fairchild is the author of six books of poetry, including ,em>Local Knowledge, The Art of the Lathe, and Early Occult Memory Systems of the Lower Midwest. He has won numerous honors and awards for his poems, including an NEA Fellowship, the William Carlos Williams Award, and the California Book Award.

Nelson Waives Prelim Hearing

Bruce Nelson appeared in Santa Barbara Superior Court on 11/20 for a preliminary hearing before Judge Bruce Dodds, opting to waive the hearing to proceed to trial before Judge Frank Ochoa.

Boys are back in Town

The 20th annual S.B. Motorcycle Toy Run begins at Santa Claus Lane in Carpinteria at 9 a.m. and ends at Elks Lodge #613 in Goleta. The $25 donation per rider ($20 per passenger) plus a new, unwrapped gift includes a BBQ lunch, music, and a raffle. Call 689-3065
