After responding to a residential alarm on Foothill Road in Carpinteria on 12/28, Santa Barbara County sheriff’s deputies found a man sleeping in a car nearby who they believe is linked to four burglaries and thefts of copper material in the Carpinteria and Montecito areas. Authorities believe Timothy Perdue, 31, stole materials like wire, drainpipes, and downspouts from job sites, and then sold the material to a recycling business to make money.
