City Appoints Commission to Make Cuts

To come up with ways that the City of Santa Barbara can pay for $150 million of unfunded infrastructure needs, the City Council appointed seven members of the public to a blue-ribbon advisory committee due to return with conclusions in seven months with interim reports to the council. Its members include recently retired County of Santa Barbara auditor-controller Bob Geis.
