Officer Andre Feller-who arrested former UCSB students Meron Meshesha and Aseye Allah during a rowdy night on 6/16/06 outside Cooney’s Bar, formerly at 500 Anacapa Street-testified at their misdemeanor trial 1/9, describing a “near riot situation” in which Meshesha crossed the “skirmish line” and walked into his arm. Meshesha and Allah-who filed a civil suit against the Police Department-were arrested for allegedly obstructing peace officers in the performance of duty.
