Beleaguered shoe company Global Brand Marketing, Inc. was purchased by Titan Apparel-part of Titan Global Holdings. GBMI founder Killick Datta was appointed CEO and president of Titan Apparel. Financial and legal troubles led to layoffs, relocation of GBMI’s headquarters, and the temporary closure of the Global Feet store in downtown Santa Barbara. This spring, the company plans to release a new line of merchandise after liquidating its current stock.
