A federal jury in Los Angeles rejected charges of police brutality leveled against four Santa Barbara City Police officers by Shawn Comrie, a Santa Barbara real estate agent who claimed he was unduly pummeled while dressed as The Incredible Hulk during Halloween in 2004. The cops testified they used force only after Comrie swung at them. Comrie sued the City of Santa Barbara in federal court after a Santa Barbara jury found him not guilty of being drunk in public but could not agree whether he instigated the confrontation.
