The U.S./Mexico Sister Cities Association and Goleta Valley Community Center brought together community members on 1/31, to discuss future plans to make Goleta and La Union, Mexico, sister cities. Officials compared notes on infrastructure and services, and came up with ways to improve living conditions in La Union. The owner of Marborg Industries is making plans to donate a front-loading garbage truck with compactor to La Union.
