Voters Complain About Rigged Election

The City Council heard from residents of the Ferrelo Road neighborhood who complained of being tricked into a rigged special district election that could cost each of them tens of thousands of dollars. They said the election-to approve the undergrounding of utility wires near their homes-gives larger landowners a greater share of the costs but also more votes, primarily benefiting those with hilltop views obstructed by wires.
